 At ATS, we grow over 40 different species of native grasses, wetland plants, and trees. We are also a native habitat enhancement company as well. We collect seed using various techniques from hand collection to using a hand-held seed stripper to using one of our tractor mounted flail vac seed harvesters or a pull behind seed harvester. This seed is then used to direct seed a prepared site by using our specially designed seed drill (Grasslander) or by using strawblowers and cultipackers. The collected seed is also used to grow many of our containerized seedlings.
OVER 30 MILLION SEEDLINGS SINCE 2003
We have grown over 30 million seedlings since 2003. This includes containerized seedlings and 750,000 pots one gallon or larger. We have also direct seeded over 2500 acres over the last 4 years. We also collect over 5,000 lbs of wiregrass and other native seed per year.
