ATS specializes in habitat creation and enhancment. Two of the most important aspects of game management are habitat and food. ATS likes to create and enhance existing habitats by providing natural cover and native food sources. ATS feels that the better native cover and food sources the better the opportunity for the landowner to meet their goals. ATS strives to assist landowners in a long term economical approach to enhancing their native habitat and wildlife on their property.
- WIREGRASS HABITAT CREATION: ATS can recreate or enhance native wiregrass habitat through direct seeding and/or wiregrass plugs. This can be done on planted loblolly/slash CRP land, planted pine planation land, current CRP land, and just about any land that is suited for wiregrass and upland habitat. ATS can also add various native grasses(bluestems, switchgrass, muhly grass, lovegrass, etc), flowers/forbs(blackeyed susan, partridge pea, beggerweed, etc), and trees or bushes(runner oak and other oaks, plums, persimmon, etc) to your wiregrass establishment to enhance wildlife and native habitat species. Doing this greatly increases the potential for quail, deer, and turkey on your property.
- WETLAND CREATION: ATS grows and plants wetland plants for wastewater treatment ponds, retention ponds, wildlife enhancement, and other wet areas. These species include giant bulrush, softstem bulrush, pickerel weed, arrowhead, soft rush, spartina, sawgrass, buttonbush, and many others. These plants and planting can clean the water plus add duck and other wetland habitat.
